Punctuation is one thing you might be tested on. The comic strips in the newspaper give you some fun material to practice using good punctuation. Choose a strip that you like. Write the dialogue on paper, using quotation marks and correct punctuation to show what the characters said.

Participating in classroom discussions gives you a chance to speak your mind. Can you find a person in the news who is speaking up? What is the person saying and what is he or she trying to accomplish?
