The Utah Education Association believes that there is a connection between funding and quality service.

• There are three levels of funding we can provide - less, the same, or more.
  • If we cut funding for education, it will lead to a decline in services and quality.
  • If we freeze education funding, the best we can do is maintain the status quo.
  • Only if we provide additional resources can we improve educational quality and opportunity.
  • Which do you want?
• What does it take to provide quality education? It takes quality teachers, high standards, class size that make sure students have individual attention, books and materials, and access to computers.
  • Can we get those things without money?
• To get students what they need requires a stable, adequate, and equitable revenue system.
  • We don’t have that now.
  • We will judge any legislative action according to that standard (stable, adequate, and equitable).
