You may have heard that the NEA Representative Assembly is the largest deliberative body. It is! Going to the RA and seeing your fellow educators in action, working for the best good of education across the nation, is quite an experience. I have attended these meetings for several years and know what is involved in committing to represent our members. The issues facing education are growing all the time. While the voucher fight was won last fall, there will be other times when we will work for and with our fellow educators. The support of NEA was important to us then, and it will continue to be important. We should send dedicated, involved teachers to represent our views. I have been an active member of the Association from my first year of teaching. I have served in many different capacities. Please vote for me to serve again at this year’s Assembly.
