As an ethnic minority, I know that minority voices and points of view often go unheard. As a classroom teacher I have worked with countless minority students, parents, and educators. This, in addition to being a minority myself, has given me the knowledge and background that it takes to be on the board. I am confident I will be able to stand up for the people I will be representing and share their point of view, even if it is unpopular. It would be an honor to have a position on the board representing the minorities of the state.
