Mary's Thoughts:
"What I learned about UEA that surprised me: "The UEA is working constantly, behind the scenes, on every important issue which impacts our children."
What I value most about the Association: "Their efforts to stop the 'bleeding' of public school funding, to stop vouchers and other crazy ideas where people are trying to re-invent education in a different model. They always rationalize, but the Association always counters their ideas with fundamental, logical reasoning."
How members might begin to be more active in the Association: "All members ought to go to the monthly AR meeting just once to see how the system works. Trade off building reps each year, if possible."
