Experience:
What I learned about UEA that surprised me:
"As I became more involved with UEA, I was surprised at the depth and diversity there was in our Association and impressed with the volume of work our leaders do behind-the-scenes; their dedication and seemingly boundless creative energies and abilities."
What I value most about the Association:
"The thing I value most about our Association is that we are brought together by our common desire to serve others compassionately. Our personal stories share common themes of caring service for others."
How members might begin to be more active in the Association:
"Think globally--act locally. Members could start small by asserting pride and confidence in our profession, by helping the AR, by associating with other teachers and discussing what we want education to be for our students; by sharing the load members would sense the nature of the Association."
