Retired membership in the NEA/UEA enables you to follow the progress of your profession by receiving the UEA publications, UEA Action, and other professional communications, as well as entitle you to continuance of NEA and UEA Special Services and other benefits of membership.

NEA/UEA Retired Member benefits include:

Life Insurance Programs Credit Programs Loan & Mortgage Programs Savings, Deposit, and Investment Programs Special Discount Programs

There are three types of Retired membership:

  1. Pre-Retired Lifetime - This type mirrors the NEA/UEA retired membership and allows you to seamlessly transition from Active to Retired for a  one-time payment of $200. Note: The Pre-Retired membership does not take the place of your Active membership.
  2. Retired Lifetime - This type provides you with a lifetime of NEA/UEA retired benefits for a one-time payment of $200.
  3. Retired Annual - This type provides you with yearly NEA/UEA retired benefits that you renew every fall. The yearly retired membership dues are $40.
